The Highland High School Alumni Committee, in partnership with the Highland Foundation for Educational Excellence, is proud to announce the establishment of the Alumni Military Honor Wall, a lasting tribute to Highland graduates who have served or are currently serving in the United States Armed Forces.
Located beside the school’s existing military installation in the theater lobby, the Honor Wall will feature interlocking hexagonal panels in Highland colors. Each panel will recognize an alumnus or alumna by name, graduation year, and branch of military service.
Our goal is simple: to ensure every eligible Highland graduate receives this honor at no cost to their family.
Why This Matters
The Honor Wall will preserve Highland history, recognize service and sacrifice, and inspire current students as they pass by this tribute each day. It will also create opportunities for student research, Veterans Day programming, alumni storytelling, and community connection.
The initial installation is planned for November 2026, with new honorees added annually around Veterans Day.
Help Fund the First Installation
The Highland Foundation for Educational Excellence approved and provided the $16,034 in initial funding necessary to move the Military Wall project forward and make the display possible. Sponsorships will help offset this investment. Any funds raised beyond the original project cost will remain dedicated to the Military Wall and may be used for future additions, updates, maintenance, and other related needs as the display evolves. We will continue to honor graduates at no cost to their family.
