Foundation Offers Annual Scholarships to Seniors

Thanks to the generous support of several planned giving donors, in 2024, The Highland Foundation awarded 60 scholarships worth a total of $98,966, to graduating seniors and previous renewable scholarship winners.

 College Now Services

College Now increases college attainment through college access and success advising, financial aid counseling, and scholarship services. Appointments are held at the high school for parents and students. During the 2023-2024 school year, College Now advisors, Anne Gates and Jackson Stuff, served 274 Highland High School students during the school day through 55 individual sessions and 247 students through group presentations. 57% of seniors were seen during the year and received expert services relating to financial aid and college affordability. In addition to meeting with students, Anne and Jackson also met with over 60 parents and family members. More than 1700 students have taken advantage of on-site advisory services throughout this program’s 10-year history at Highland. College Now provides scholarship opportunities to partnering schools; as a result, one of our Class of 2024 Highland graduates was awarded the College Now Traditional Scholarship.
